NIKE

CHALLENGE

Nike, a global brand, sought a domestic clothing manufacturer for its artisanal re-use designs. The goal was continuous collaborations with high-end designers in Los Angeles, using old stock in small volumes. Nike required a partner with the expertise and resources beyond its in-house capabilities to effectively bring these designs to market.

APPROACH

The Evans Group (TEG) was uniquely equipped to assist Nike in its sustainability initiatives. This was accomplished through its collaboration re-use program in Los Angeles. Leveraging its specialized team and facility, TEG facilitated the technical design and engineering of styles. Additionally, they conducted pattern and sample making and executed specialized small-volume production from old stock for each design. In doing so, TEG played a pivotal role in bringing multiple collaborations to fruition for Nike.

RODARTE

CHALLENGE

The esteemed American couture brand Rodarte collaborated with TEG to craft samples for New York Fashion Week.

APPROACH

The Evans Group collaborated with Rodarte's team to create a high-end fashion collection that was also production-friendly. TEG's master patternmaker closely collaborated with the designers to ensure impeccable finishing and signature fits. They also ensured that the pieces were optimized for production, maintaining a balance between design aesthetics and manufacturing efficiency. Additionally, TEG was tasked with fulfilling the related production.

GREG LAUREN

CHALLENGE

Greg Lauren is renowned for his passion for complex, deconstructed looks. He sought a local Los Angeles product development facility to bring his creative vision to life for a significant collaboration.

APPROACH

The Evans Group was handpicked by the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) to collaborate on the Greg Lauren x Banana Republic "Made in LA" collection, showcasing domestic manufacturing.

TEG closely worked with Greg Lauren's team to refine his intricate techniques. This was crucial for replicating his signature aesthetic on a larger scale. Given the complexity of Lauren's designs, TEG designated a dedicated sewing module at its factory, extending his in-house team.

GUESS

CHALLENGE

Legacy brand Guess needed a trusted resource to provide expert pattern making and sample making to remake 1980's denim jacket styles from their iconic archive for actors on a highly rated show.

APPROACH

TEG’s expert team of pattern makers reverse engineered patterns from denim jackets, and added updated details specified by Guess designers.  Our sample makers expertly crafted each complex piece for multiple actors, ensuring the same construction was applied for authenticity, in a rushed timeline to meet the needs of the show.

JONATHAN SIMKHAI

CHALLENGE

Jonathan Simkhai needed a reliable partner for collaborative development and refinement of New York Fashion Week runway samples every season.

APPROACH

The Evans Group proved its capabilities by not only meeting but exceeding the brand's quality standards, becoming an integral extension of Jonathan Simkhai's workroom. With flexible scheduling to accommodate overflow needs, TEG provided a dedicated modular of sample makers for last-minute, high-end samples. We collaborated with Jonathan Simkhai's team on numerous runway shows and crafted the designer's personal runway look.

MONCLER

CHALLENGE

The brand wanted to craft a visually striking installation of custom-designed army tents for their fashion show presentation in Paris, showcasing their "Collide" collaboration collection with designer Greg Lauren.

APPROACH

Drawing on their expertise, The Evans Group embarked on a new challenge, creating tents from repurposed materials for the first time. Leveraging insights gained from previous collaborations with Greg Lauren, they adapted their skills to a different form and function, ensuring the success of the project.

GUESS

CHALLENGE

The iconic brand sought to establish a local partner for special collaboration projects, with a key requirement: the ability to deliver start-to-finish development and production within a tight two-week timeframe.

APPROACH

The Evans Group was perfectly positioned to meet this demand, boasting the precise team, expertise, and infrastructure needed to fulfill the request. TEG has since delivered multiple high-end capsules for Guess, from development to production, all within a swift two-week window, solidifying its role as a trusted partner for the Guess brand.

KATE MCDONALD

CHALLENGE

A premier American bridal designer sought an on-demand clothing manufacturing partner to fulfill monthly orders across various styles and sizes.

APPROACH

The Evans Group established a dedicated internal modular specifically for the bridal designer, ensuring a specialized team was readily available to contribute to the collection's development. This team excelled in crafting intricate custom bridal dresses and delicate pieces, enabling us to replicate any of the designer's wedding gowns as required.

HIREATH

CHALLENGE

A well-known celebrity was launching a new, sustainable and cruelty-free brand that was completely void of animal products, including traditional leather, wool, fur and silk.

APPROACH

TEG served as a development and production advisor from the initial conception, offering guidance to the brand's Founder on collection size, required materials, and manufacturing design considerations. This collaborative approach not only facilitated the formalization of our creative planning and strategy services but also ensured a seamless launch for the brand.

WILLEM

CHALLENGE

A startup menswear brand aimed to curate small collections for direct-to-consumer sales, with plans to expand into a retail storefront.

APPROACH

The Evans Group's skilled team collaborated closely with the founder and lead designers to develop and produce their inaugural collection for a direct-to-consumer launch. The positive reception led to ongoing collaboration for multiple collections, culminating in the development and production of collections for a thriving brick-and-mortar store in NYC launched by the brand.
