The Evans Group (TEG) has been helping emerging fashion designers launch and scale their clothing collections for 20 years. In that time, we’ve worked with nearly 4000 designers. Many of them were just learning how to launch their brand, just like you!

Unlike many large fashion manufacturers, we love working hand-in-hand with startups and emerging designers from the very beginning of the process. Our tailored approach specifically guides nascent fashion designers through the complexity of developing styles, collections, design, fabric & trim sourcing, and even marketing and mentorship.

To give you the very best head start on your collection, we have assembled experienced teams specializing in each department of patternmakers, seamstresses, designers, and fabric specialists. Moreover, we can handle almost any category, including athletic and activewear, streetwear, classic styles, swimwear, lingerie, evening gowns, avant-garde, and couture creations. We are one of the few fashion houses in the US with our unique skills and capabilities.

We have the latest software and machinery, allowing our capacity and capabilities to include everything from delicate handwork to computerized patternmaking, grading and marking.

DISCUSS

Every TEG client relationship begins with an in-person or a remote meet-and-greet. We use this time to understand your experience, team, goals, budget, timeline, and more. We’ll also explain how TEG works, the experience of our team and the services we offer. And most importantly, how we can show you how to achieve your goals.

DESIGN & SOURCE

By taking advantage of TEG Creative Services, you can lay the foundation for starting a clothing line with Strategy & Planning sessions led by our Creative Services Team. With Sourcing Services, we will guide you through the fabric/trim purchase process and provide expert sourcing to find the fabrics you are looking for and manage their treatment, if needed.  We guide you through any special fabric treatment processes you may need.

DEVELOP

This is where it gets really good. Watch your collection come to life with your dedicated TEG Team! Our Client Service Manager will onboard you, provide you with weekly updates, and answer any questions you may have along the way. Our pattern makers are regarded as the absolute best in their craft and will draft patterns with an unmatched fit. TEG’s talented team of Sewers will finalize your designs. Together, your team will ensure your collection is developed with extreme precision and skill.

PRODUCE

Once the development portion is completed, our Production Manager can provide you with a complete Cost Analysis report created specifically for your production. TEG Production was conceived with emerging and high-end designers in mind, with low minimums and high-quality craftsmanship for complex styles. We promote and encourage sustainable and socially responsible practices, giving you peace of mind as you launch your brand. We are proud to offer small volume, ethical and sustainable production made in downtown Los Angeles.

LEARN

Gain added support and expert advice on your collection and business as you begin the process of launching your clothing line at TEG. Enhance your experience with optional our one-hour, or weekly Mentorship Programs, working alongside our Founder and Owner, Jennifer Evans. This service is designed to enhance your experience and gain knowledge in all areas of your business in particular and the fashion industry in general.

Having creative assets in time to launch your clothing line takes planning and orchestration. Do I need prior fashion design or production experience to work with TEG?

No. We specialize in helping emerging designers bring their first collection to life, even if you have little to no industry experience.

How many pieces do I need to start a collection?

You can start small. Many new designers launch with just 3-5 pieces, and we’ll help you determine the right size for your collection.

What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ) for production?

Our low minimums starting at 10 pieces per style make it possible for new designers to test the market without committing to large runs.

Can you help me if I only have sketches or an idea?

Yes. Our pattern makers and sample team can translate your ideas, sketches, or inspiration into professional patterns and production-ready samples.

What kinds of garments can you produce?

We work with a wide range of categories, from womenswear and menswear to activewear and specialty apparel. Explore our portfolio here.

How much does it cost to start working with TEG?

Costs depend on factors like design complexity and number of pieces. We’ll provide an estimate after your intro call and review of your project. Schedule your call today to get started.

Will I own my patterns and tech packs?

Yes. If we develop patterns and tech packs for you, you own them. This is standard practice and we’re happy to put it in writing. You’ll receive copies of all technical documentation, and you’re free to take those files to another manufacturer if your needs change in the future.

Can I visit TEG's facility, and what should I expect?

Yes, and we encourage it for local designers. Seeing where your garments will be made, meeting the team, and understanding our process in person helps build confidence in the partnership. During a facility visit, you’ll see our sample room, production floor, and quality control area. We’ll walk you through how we handle projects from pattern development through final production, and you’re welcome to ask questions about our capabilities, equipment, and team experience.
